History of AMCOL Systems, Inc
Founded in 1976 by CEO Mary K. Rickman in the study of her home, AMCOL Systems, Inc. originally started as Columbia Medical Adjustments servicing the local Columbia, SC physician market. Shortly after its start Mary recruited her husband and children to join her team and encompass her vision of serving healthcare providers in account receivables collections. As the significance of account receivables to providers, specifically unpaid and delinquent healthcare receivables, grew in the 80's and 90's, so did AMCOL Systems. Today AMCOL Systems still remains privately held by the Rickman family, focuses 100% on healthcare collections, serves clients across the country and currently is the only healthcare collection service certified for quality under ACA International's Professional Practice Management System (PPMS) Certification program. AMCOL Systems is headquartered at 111 Lancewood Road Columbia, South Carolina.
